For every Paul King and Mungo Jerry-fan!
This a great collectors item and you can't miss it. Cover sleeve
of the new Paul King CD 'Daughters
Of Heaven' is wonderful and signed by Paul. The typical sound of
Paul's voice and his musical talent brings it to a good end at all.
Some of the songs are known in different versions. For example the
'Hey Rosalyn' song, known from the 'You Don't Have To Be In The Army'
LP of Mungo Jerry is different and better.
Also the good old 'Sugarcane' is great to hear again.
So please enjoy the sound of the new CD Album. It's great and I love
it! Glad I got it for my collection!

What can I say, an
absolute joy to listen to, a must for all fans, all the tracks
confirm what a good songwriter Paul is. Everything about the
album oozes class, Paul's artwork is terrific, the sleeve notes
are informative and that is even before I listened to the album.
From
the opening
of Zodiac to the closing bars of the
beautiful Heaven Scent (a love song with stunning lyrics) via the
old favourites (albeit in a different guise) of Sugarcane & Libra
Love and does it get any better than Angeline a magnificant song,
the album weaves a magical spell that reminds me of Donovans
album " A Gift from a Flower to a Garden". This album
would grace anybody's collection and added to the fact that it
is a signed limited addition make this a real collectors item.
No one should miss out. Tanx to Paul for a beautiful musical experience.

I've heard Paul speak of his Star Sign Concept album many times,
his hopes for it, how they never did quite finish it, and how he
always believed in the project even after many years had passed
since its conception.
Some of the tracks made it onto his limited edition cassettes
that were made available through the Mungo Jerry Fan Club but alas,
we never did get to hear the complete album. Paul however has come
up with a master stroke by releasing five of the finished masters
and thirteen demo's on DAUGHTERS OF HEAVEN, the second CD issued
through his official website and an absolute joy to listen to.
I was mostly familiar with the masters, recorded with musicians
from such acts as ATOMIC ROOSTER, THE ALAN
PRICE BAND and THE BEAT STALKERS, but not the staggeringly good demos that throw
up more than a few surprises with the excellent 'Angeline' and
'Libra Love', which was to become 'Hey Rosalyn' (voted Paul's best
song in the last fan club poll) from MUNGO
JERRY's 'You Don't Have To Be In The Army' album. This demo version of 'Sugarcane', is
simply beautiful and I would love to see Paul performing these numbers live
on the gigs he is starting to perform with Jeff Ward and Colin
Pattenden. They would put a little light and shade into the set.
The whole CD is sheer class and confirms Paul's talent as both
a songwriter and a performer, though I'd have to say, that is
something that has never been in doubt as far as I am concerened.
Keep 'em coming Paul!
Alan Taylor.
